Foreign Policy magazine is having an online poll to select the top "public intellectuals." While there is a list of candidates, write-ins are permitted. Since the voting universe is relatively small, a strong write-in for Dr. Ruwart could get her on the list!

This is a difficult issue that I haven`t resolved personally, but I highly recommend Roderick Long`s superb discussion, which starts from some 10 year old answers Ruwart gave on the subject. She has no recent writings and has not indicated that it will play any role in her campaign, but recent controversy makes it worth learning, and it is one of the areas that all societies have struggled to address.

I have read about second and third hand "reports" of the results of the straw poll taken after the candidate forum in Kansas City on April 5th.
