The Economy

As government grows, our freedom -- and our prosperity -- declines.

The size and power of government, the ability to create wealth, and ultimately our freedom to live the kind of lives we want to lead, are inextricably
linked to each other.

Let's start by talking about prosperity: The more a government spends, the less wealth is available for the creation of future wealth.

Good point. I think she felt that three principles was the reasonable limit for a position paper, and it takes a bit of writing to explain and defend free
banking and competing currencies. Nonetheless, I expect her to address sound money in the campaign.

I like it . . . a lot. Vintage Mary Ruwart style; a gentle approach to the fundamental, libertarian principle of "laissez-faire economics".

No mention of the Federal Reserve, fiat currency, and inflationary tendencies of central banking. I guess this was by design, but I wonder if potential
supporters from the "Ron Paul Revolution" might be looking for some position on this.
